2. Get second tattoo.

13. Less Television, More Books.
14. Worry/Stress/Fight Less.

21.  Exercise more.
22. Breathe.
23. Go Camping. Even if the weather sucks, and its cold at night.
24. Mini-Weekend Vacations! Go on them!

Cheers!"

8 months into 2014 and I can honestly say that I have worked towards only a few of these. yikes.
1. Get tattoo touched up. CHECK.
9. Pay off some debt. Started small and now im working towards the big stuff... Whats that.. The snowball effect i think?
13. Less television, more books. Not that I was big into television anyways, but I have gone a solid month without watching tv.
21. Exercise more. With all this lovely weather, I can honestly say i've been hitting it a bit harder.
24. Mini-Weekend Vacations! TBA!

Well 6 out of 24 is pretty dismal but i still have 4ish months to get on the rest of this list... but i am going to ammend a few more:
25. Pray more/worry less.
26. Trust yourself.
27. Know that no matter what, you will be okay. You got dis.
28. Spread love like glitter. That ish gets everywhere.
29. Don't live with double standards, don't have double standards either.
30. Know that there is always a reason to smile, and spread that joy like a fire.

As corny and hokey and as easy as it is to  say...  It's hard to put these into action for me, especially since i tend to be on the pessimistic side of the spectrum. I hope to become, or return to, my free-spirited sense of being. life is hard, and will only get more complicated and rough as the years wear on. wait. what?

thats what people tell me, but i dont believe that to be so.

Have a fantastic day.
Cheers friends!

New Years Resolutions, Part Deux.

Recently I read that blog post that has been blowing up my facebook feed. You know the one.

23 things to do before your 23 instead of getting engaged.

and then a response.
{I linked it on my facebook, if you'd like to read it.}

The original post is written from a standpoint of one single, immature, and clearly bitter young adult.
I could get in to my feelings on this post, but I won't. There are plenty of response posts out there that eloquently explain my feelings toward this bullshit blog.

Lets get to the point.

This has really made me question, what physical things do I want to accomplish this year?
Well. This year I turn 23. I will be married three years to my best friend.
And I really want to make the most of this year, because we are not promised a tomorrow.

I am setting very attainable goals for myself, so that I dont reach december 25th, 2014 and kick myself for not getting a single thing checked off.

Here goes.

1. Get tattoo touched up.
2. Get second tattoo.
3. Redesign my home. {one room at a time, of course}
4. Participate in the Color Run, Neon Run and Mud Run.
5. Fast Food. CUT IT OUT.
6. Cook More.
7. Drink more H2O. {But Seriously}
8. Just go somewhere.
9. Pay off some debt.
10. Launch freelance Interior Design Company. {Simplicity, Interior ReDesign}
11. Concerts.
12. Volunteer my time and gifts.
13. Less Television, More Books.
14. Worry/Stress/Fight Less.
15. Yoga? Yoga.
16. Get on a plane.
17. Hike More!
18. Never eat at the same restaurant twice. {Unless its worth it.}
19. Introduce Spontenaity back into my life.
20. Trust God. And go outside my faith comfort zone.
21.  Exercise more.
22. Breathe.
23. Go Camping. Even if the weather sucks, and its cold at night.
24. Mini-Weekend Vacations! Go on them!

Cheers!

A Very DIY Christmas: Christmas 2014

Spend Less | Give More

This Christmas I made all my gifts. Well, most of my gifts.
I have been bitten by the DIY-Bug, and I think I'm in love. Seriously, making something yourself, pouring your heart and soul into something for someone you love is thee best gift ever.
So here is what I propose to you: Make at least one gift for each person in your family or circle. Its easy and for the most part, if your crafty about it, pretty inexpensive.

{See Pinterest for DIY gift and craft ideas!}

This year, this whole year, I will be preparing for christmas!
Each month, I will dedicate a weekend or two to making a gift for each member of my family.
Thats roughly about: twenty people. twenty gifts. twelve months. twelve gifts for each person.

is that crazy?

Challenge. Accepted.

_NewYearsResolutions, Everybody//

This morning I have been struggling with this post, because I have all this ideas and snippets of what I want to say floating around in my head and I just cant seem to string them together into a series of simple sentences. So frustrating.
Essentially its a question, or multiple questions really.

Who are you
Are you where you want to be
whats stopping you from becoming the person you want to be

The new year is approaching {fast}, and you know what that means! Resolutions! That you will probably drop after a week. Remember friends, it takes twenty one days to form a habit. So be ritualistic about your resolutions for twenty one days and then after that is should feel easier. Natural.

I don't usually even do NYR's because, as previously stated, I usually forget, or drop the ball a week or two into January. But! This year, I am challenging myself to do a few! All mental, one not so mental.

This year, I resolve to:
*Break bad habits.
*Become more positive, compassionate, caring and nurturing.
*Live each day like I wont get another damn day to live.
*Show love to everyone around me
*Show forgiveness to those who have wronged me

and here's the one physical resolution:

*Hit the gym every-damn-day.

It definitely helps if you have someone to keep you accountable to your NYR's, a friend to keep your ass in the gym, a counselor, pastor or  therapist to keep you on track with your emotional and mental well being.

Well, we shall see how this all pans out and I, of course, will keep you posted!
[It will help to keep me accountable as well!]

Todays Haul!

I have discovered my new happy place (But most dedicated several hours if I am even going to step foot inside) The Goodwill Outlet store in the milwaukie/sellwood area. I AM IN LOVE.

Today haul includes:

1 pair of titanium yoga pants
1 pair of nike running sport shorts
1 dark navy blue merona handbag with gold accents
1 pair of black flat boots
4 shirts
2 v-neck style tees
1 oregon duck sweatshirt
and one very beautiful, but very shattered emeral green plate.

I was going to use that as a foundation piece for one of my jewelry stands, but shattered it on my way up to my apartment. But hey, it only cost me .26 cents!

I got ALL OF THAT ^^^^ FOR LESS THAN 20 BUCKS!
I would have paid at least 9.99$ for the handbag alone at a regular goodwill store.

I think I'm in love folks.
